Special Guest

Bruno Müller

In the tradition of American live and session musicians such as Tommy Tedesco or Lee Ritenour and inspired by artists such as George Benson, Robben Ford, Eric Gale and Johnny Guitar Watson, Bruno Müller is considered one of the most established guitarists in Europe. The main feature of his musical personality? Clearly his delicate craft coupled with stylistic flexibility between pop, soul, funk and jazz. But above all: his breathtaking groove.

Rüdiger Baldauf is one of the most versatile trumpeters in Germany and he and his band are already old acquaintances at JazzrockTV.

For many years he was a member of the Heavytones (TV-Total) and has worked in numerous productions with international stars such as George Duke, Ray Charles, Shirley Bassey, Joe Zawinul, Maceo Parker and Barbra Streisand. Rüdiger Baldauf has also developed successful projects of his own, including the live DVD TRUMPET NIGHT co-produced by JazzrockTV and the current project Jackson Trip with an instrumental homage to the King of Pop, which he already presented at JazzrockTV in an exclusive acoustic session.

The Rüdiger Baldauf Own Style Band is a well-rehearsed team with many years of experience, which convinces with joy of playing and passion for Funk & Soul.
Christian Frentzen on keyboards (Jule Neigel, Marla Glen, Stefanie Heinzmann), Marius Goldhammer on bass (Chaka Khan, Max Mutzke, Joy Denalane, Edo Zanki, BAP) and Thomas Heinz on drums (Tarja Turunen, Mousse T.) are Rüdiger’s congenial partners.

Another star of the German music scene could be won as a guest. Like Rüdiger Baldauf, Joo Kraus is one of the best trumpeters in our latitudes. Together with Hellmut Hattler as TAB TWO, as band member, soloist, session professional (BAP, DePhazz, Jazzkantine, Soulounge) and sideman of well-known artists Joo Kraus celebrated numerous successes.

The band around the singer & keyboard player Yassmo’ has already caused a sensation at the JazzrockTV Jam In The Basement. His new project is inspired by the forefathers of soul and offers his own compositions with soulful ballads to driving Motown grooves.

There are Igor Lazarev, who has already released an album with his own Fusion Trio, which attracted attention in the guitar scene. Hardy Fischötter is a sought-after session and live drummer (Larry Carlton, Cosmo Klein and many more). Danh Thai on saxophone (Jack Million Band, Echoes of Nawlins, Groove Approve and Clou Experience) and Emanuel Stanley on Bass (Cologne Big Band, Chris Farlowe, Christoph Spendel, Gitte Haenning, Phishbacher, Dieter Greifenberg) round off the recorded Soul & Funk Formation.
